We have begun the journey of a thousand miles: The Renew Project is scheduling events for the remainder of 2009 and the start of 2010, our advisory committee is being assembled, and we are inviting partners to join our financial support team. This stage is critical for a young, untested community, as we have moved beyond the dream state of mere possibility yet have a great deal of work ahead of us to become a fully-functional organization.
The distance between founding a project and fleshing it out in concrete experience, is met by a team of people who are passionate and invested in making the dream a reality. Rather than attempt this in a vacuum, The Renew Project has entered into our “Beta Phase,” which is a pre-release of our organization that invites people to join a Developer Team to embody the mission of God in our local context.
